Having studied games for so long you would think she would know better than to get involved in developing a game, but currently she is involved in a Creative Europe funded project that is doing just that. Happy to have you onboard, Dr. Kerr!!.

She is the author of two monographs on digital games, most recently: Global Games: Production, Circulation and Policy, Routledge, 2017. In 2021 she was elected into the Academy of Europe and in 2016 she received a Distinguished Scholar award from DiGRA.

Here's us announcing our third keynote speaker for DiGRA'25: Dr. Aphra Kerr!. Dr. Kerr is a Professor of Information and Communication Studies at University College Dublin and she is a Co-PI at the ADAPT Research Centre for Digital Content Technology (2021-2026).

A father of five living in Nablus, Palestine, his work has received-along with other global recognition-the Excellence in Storytelling award at the International Mobile Game Awards. Rasheed is currently working on a new game focused on the events of the 1948 Nakba.

Our first keynote for DiGRA 2025: Rasheed Abueideh! . Rasheed is an award-winning Palestinian creative director and game designer, who created Liyla and The Shadows of War (2016) to highlight the impact of the 2014 Gaza War on children.
