Snowy Owl received her 5 year service award tonight. It was a surprise! We are very proud of her - especially as she has had 2 little ones in that time and is juggling her young family with work and Brownies too. Well done Snowy! @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding @BordersCounty

We had a lovely visit tonight from 4 members of our local silver band. They showed us their instruments and let us have a go too. They have a concert on Friday. It led to a discussion about the Performing badge. @PeeblesSilver @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

Brown Owl has spent some of this morning decorating our tree for the Parish Church tree festival. Our theme is our Sixes: Kelpies, Gnomes, Elves and Pixies. Also setting up were the Rainbows and Guides. Christmas is here! @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding @BordersCounty

We LOVED our visit to Peebles Fire Station tonight as part of looking at jobs. Lots now want to join the fire service - thank Murray and the team, we are so lucky to have such a dedicated group of firefighters! @fire_scot @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

35 tins of fruit have been collected for Peebles Youth Trust by the pack. These will form part of the Christmas hampers to be distributed next month. @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

We had a lovely evening with Mr David Mundell, hearing about parliament and his very busy schedule. We had tea and biscuits, he gave advice to our young leaders for some school work and learned the Giant’s House game! @UKParliament @DavidMundellDCT @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

We’ve started making our decorations for the Christmas tree we will decorate for the tree festival to be held in the Parish Church next month. Great work girls!' @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

We missed our Kingsland girls tonight as their school had a Halloween party. We had our own and enjoyed ‘dooking’ for apples, reaching for party rings and laces, making masks, balloon animals, a cat walk…all in all a relaxed evening! @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

Our last night - we walked the 3 bridges, watched the sunset, saw the heron on the river Tweed, enjoyed listening to the dusk chorus and the bats flying around. We ended with the Promise made by our 7 new girls by candlelight (battery only). @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

This afternoon we came together with the rest of our district to watch #LittleMermaid @EastgateTheatre here in Peebles. Lovely to see everyone. Huge thank you to Jo #1stPeeblesRainbows for organising. @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding

On Monday we had a visit from Emma @ForestryLS. She told us all about her job as a Seasonal Ranger and showed us the equipment she needs. She told us about other jobs, had a quiz and a game up her sleeve and answered sooo many questions! @GirlguidingScot @Girlguiding
