Tonight we have been @BowleyCS playing #NERF with @WoodSageOutdoor ...followed by cooking (or burning!) Bannock over the campfire in the tipi.

As we aren't meeting next week, we decided to celebrate #PancakeDay a week early. The scouts made their own batter and cooked on a variety of camping stoves. Surprise favourite topping was #Spam..."Is it like steak?" Ahhhh the innocence of youth!

Tonight was our first meeting of 2018 and saw us practising lighting fires from sparks...and toasting #marshmallows over the fire...it would have been rude not too π

This might be of interest to some our Scouts...for those that don't know, @WoodSageOutdoor is actually Simon, one of our Leaders π
Please see below for details of "open" courses and taster days aimed at Cubs, Scouts & Explorer Scouts. Please note, there is no need for Leaders to attend these events...but if you want to, you will always be made to feel welcome :) #iScout

Tonight we have had an intro to cutting tools...safe use, storage and the law around their useage. Happy to say that their were no cuts and everyone is leaving with the same number of fingers that they started with π #iScout
