I’ve made it my New Years Resolution to delete my Twitter. I don’t want to dive too far into it, but I just don’t feel comfortable with the platform’s trajectory. There are a lot of lovely people out there, but it’s just… SO MUCH weirder now, right?

Wifey and I saw a gentleman begging for change at an intersection in DC last night. The windchill was -6 and he wasn't wearing any gloves so I gave him mine. I'm not bragging for doing a good thing; I'm begging you to be kind this Xmas. I'm begging you to be empathic this Xmas.

Early mornings usually mean I can have a location to myself to work a scene. This weekend’s shoot came with a lovely soundtrack!

I would gladly pay an arm and a leg for faster upload speeds in my part of town. Sure, a gig download is nice, but 25mbps upstream is pitiful when you need to upload large batches of images. Do better with your monopoly, @Xfinity. Actually invest in Baltimore, @Verizon.

TERM LIMITS

Thrilling result out of Arizona tonight! With this one, I’m happy the incumbent got the shaft. It could’ve been between him ore any other guy, he still would’ve taken gold! I never was good at that one Donkey Kong level, but he was my pick. Is it time to abandon my mine joke?

Follow up: I had to resize this clip to make it fit Twitter's standards, but what's the point of having a camera that just sends it at 20fps if you don't create the occasional gif.

So many vivid histories got them here and they trusted me to help tell their story. This is why I love shooting weddings.

The work two typical people have to put into a relationship. The insanity that is wedding planning. They had to execute a rain plan 15 minutes before the planned ceremony start time.

The hurdles the Jewish ancestors had to overcome. The plight of black people in America. The fight for interracial marriage. The ongoing efforts to ensure same-sex couples can enjoy equal rights.

A white Jewish woman and a Black woman got married last night. They found me online and asked me to photograph their wedding. I’m thinking about it and having an emotional reaction to how special this is.

You ever looked at the back of your camera after firing off a shot and thought, “Oh shit, did I actually just do that? ‘Cause I was kinda winging that…” Shooting the moon tonight wasn’t even my idea and I definitely didn’t expect this shot to look half as cool!
