@NikolaGalilei Node runners only verify L1 transactions. Keeping L1 thin was a polestar of the design since the beginning. That said, L1 verifies L2 transactions indirectly via verifying the ZK proofs of them which are themselves transactions submitted to the L1, so calling this "optional"
