Making the argument that the crypto industry isn’t transparent bc donations are denominated in dollars is an intellectually dishonest reply. donations are denominated in USD to comply w/ FEC regulations & mitigate the burden on the recipient. Modernized regulations fix this.
This take is weirdly prevalent. No, we don't know how much crypto is spending to influence policy because it's "onchain". We know it from FEC and lobbying disclosures, just like everyone else. The crypto industry's political influence is predominantly denominated in dollars.

as soon as I realize content I'm reading is likely LLM-generated but attributed to a human author, I often find myself skimming and discounting it. it's not really rational, but it's somehow a bit harder to care if it isn't bespoke artisanal human writing.
