Thanks for your continued work to improve hevm's performance, accuracy and correctness! If you've never tried it, go check out the tool at and follow the collective building it at @argotorg 11/n.

I want to take this opportunity to also give a shoutout to @SoosMate and the rest of the hevm team. Echidna uses hevm as a library to implement the EVM and execute contracts concretely and symbolically. 10/n.

What's next โšก: Gustavo has been working on a few things lately! Soon, Echidna will also support extracting values from functions that return structs. And there's a significant revamp of the symbolic execution functionality in the works as well. ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ 9/n.

Here's the repo @rappie_eth had prepared: With Echidna's fix merged and a small tweak to the repository, the gas use appears to match now across medusa, Foundry, and Echidna. 8/n.

Squashed bugs ๐Ÿ›: Thanks to a sample repo put together by @rappie_eth, we found a minor issue in Echidna that was causing gas accounting to not be 100% accurate. We merged a fix for it earlier today ๐Ÿ”ง 7/n.

What does this mean? Echidna can now see values included in events and reuse them when generating other random inputs. In other words, the fuzzer can take advantage of things like NFT IDs and value amounts exposed by the contracts in events to break your invariants ๐Ÿ’ฅ. 6/n

After getting acquainted with the codebase, @DivyaRanjan1905 worked on a second PR that allows Echidna to extract interesting constants from events. This one was merged earlier today! ๐ŸŽ‰ Thanks for your work @DivyaRanjan1905! 5/n.

New features โœจ: @DivyaRanjan1905 started contributing to Echidna and submitted a PR to shrink the file size of HTML coverage reports. Those should be lighter now and a bit easier to render in a browser. 4/n.

In particular, Echidna will no longer support initialization with Etheno (you can use on-chain fuzzing with something like Anvil instead!). The `estimateGas` option is also no longer available. 3/n.
