It's a dynamically-computed, nonvisual, abstract & reinterpretable, interoperable systems artwork
All the (maximally-onchain) visual bits: svgs, html animations..
They're like box art or Mimikyu's garb
I internalized this message in 2013 as very important, and it affected my art making
Tons of art I never allowed myself to consider bc "well obviously that's not onchain truth"
Artists who never learned or ignored were functionally correct though. I'm still overcoming it myself
