To avoid being stuck with an inaccessible product put #accessibility as a requirement into your contracts.

The worst outcome of not thinking about #accessibility from the start is signing a contract with a third party who is unwilling to make changes and you are stuck with an inaccessible product. #a11y

I became a British citizen today. 🎉 (I'm also still German.) I had to say 4 sentences and then I got a certificate and some marmalade. (Yup.) 🇬🇧

I have done a #WCAG audit of @DokuWiki: https://t.co/fhzE9lHP00. Thanks to my employer @GDSTeam for providing #volunteering days. (Although I needed to use more of my spare time in the end.) #accessibility #a11y #OpenSource

Why are there so many online shops which clear your basket after one measly hour? It's as if they don't want any customers. Imagine that in the physical world, someone taking your basket away from you after you spend more than an hour in the supermarket. #uxfail

He's saying things about me that are simply not true. For example, that I'm trying to discredit him. Or that I say he doesn't care about accessibility. Or that I call his reputation into question. I would never do any of those things! Why would I? So, why is he saying that?

'[I could say] "you missed this HMMMMM" or I could see it for what it is: a finer point to be addressed, and assume the best intentions' wrote @heydonworks. Exactly. If you could follow your own advice, please. How can we educate when any advice is misunderstood as an insult?

Hmm, he deleted his replies. In our conversation he thanked me twice, he reported how he has fixed some of the issues and plans to fix others and acknowledged that he understood now what he previously didn't. I'm confused how that can lead to "block that nitpicker".

It's a big concern that reporting accessibility issues (in a respectful way) get you blocked. Just imagine a company would have done that. There needs to be a way to report these things without egos feeling hurt.

My fixes would make the video pass WCAG. I gave him this advice for free. I would have preferred to do it in private but I couldn't find any other way to contact him.

It's very painful for me to learn that @heydonworks blocked me after I pointed out accessibility issues in his latest video. I wasn't just "nitpicking", I spent a couple of hours providing all the fixes which he then went on using in his video.

Direct quote from them: "Dragon is not compatible with web pages and web based services, this is not supported!" I cannot believe this is @NuanceInc's official policy? Alternatives worth pointing out: Apple Voice Control and Windows Speech Recognition are built-in and free.

Sorry, deleting the original tweet because someone told me most people won't see it because it starts with an at.

.@NuanceInc's support tells me that Dragon, the speech recognition tool, is not compatible with any websites. In general. Ever. Is that really true? When reporting a bug (file inputs not working), it was dismissed for that reason. #a11y

I built something to help my (bit simplified) interpretation of WCAG's time-based media SCs (1.2.x): https://t.co/l9drtNgZzu  Do you interpret any of it differently? If yes, how and why? #a11y #wcag

I get an #Ocado delivery once a month. Although I'm not stockpiling, that makes me part of the problem if someone who is self-isolating cannot get essentials easily. I will stop buying online until this #coronavirus situation is over to give more vulnerable people a chance.

Courier (not sure which) tried to deliver something today. I hadn't ordered anything and told them. They didn't even double check and said I should just take it as free stuff. Unbelievable! I looked at the label and had to point out they had the wrong address. #DeliveryFail
