I agree that it is important to not participate in false balance discussions. If more took this stance, then the media would have to stop running them.
BBC Radio wanted to have me on today to debate a climate-denier in the context of the drought/heatwave.
I said NO.
I told them it was a disgrace that they still give climate-deniers airtime at a time like this.

Older son and I repeated Feynman's famous "is it bladder pressure or gravity that drives weeing?" ... by holding younger son upside down while he did a wee in the garden. Feynman was right, it's the bladder.
While in Cork yesterday, it was a pleasure to Professor Des MacHale, who has been popularising maths for decades. He once said, that a statistician is someone who thinks that "the average human has one breast and one testicle."
