With a wingspan up to 6 inches, the Malabar tree nymph (Idea malabarica) of southern India is a large, almost cumbersome butterfly. Its flight is slow and fluttery and it seems built to glide. Members of this butterfly's genus are also called "paper kites."

It's heartbreaking to see this sea turtle and her babies struggle in the plastic trash. Luckily the videographer, Dr. Chang-Liu, was able to save the young turtles.
