Tolsta Chaolais on the West Coast of Lewis earlier today. If you're cycling the #hebrideanway it's easy to miss this stunning wee village as it's off the main road, but it really is worth visiting & it'll only add a further 5 minutes onto your bike ride

While Neil Lennon is under intense moral scrutiny, its worth recognising that when he was touted for the Scotland job, his appointment was deemed too divisive amongst supporters They instead appointed someone who played an integral role in a sporting scandal which shamed Scotland

The new footpath between Lower Sandwick and the Iolaire Monument is lovely. There's a tree planted for every victim of the tragedy. My Great Uncle Kenneth Maclean has his tree positioned beside that of his 1st cousin Norman Mackay who's body was never recovered. A nice touch

Cycling over the Clisham is the hardest section of the #hebrideanway . My advice to anyone embarking upon the journey is not to drink 11 pints in the Motel the night before. Also, having to pedal like the clappers so I could meet my cousins off the Stornoway Ferry was not clever🚴
