@ycombinator I’m not listening to anything Paul George has to say after his last awful season with the Sixers

@ycombinator “do things that don’t scale” is just a fancy way of saying “be the human api for your first 100 users”

@ycombinator Those 6 are excellent. Unfortunately some add evil next steps. Create lock-in, require subscriptions, continually raise prices and degrade service. It's called "enshittification"

@ycombinator Golden advice as always. I've compiled notes of PG on my Clickup docs, I think I'll share it soon.

It's been one week since the Manufacturing Express concluded its tour of Texas! We're still reeling from how much fun we had on the road last month. Who's ready for another tour? Comment below where the bus should go next!

@ycombinator the number 1 hardest problem for a startup: ignoring every other piece of advice and wisdom forced down their throats sticking to the simple like this seems easy but is genuinely rare

@ycombinator This is the essence of good product thinking. Start small grounded in real problems, stay close to users, iterate relentlessly. The crude v1 teaches you more than months of over-planning ever will.

@ycombinator My solutions are never seen as simple bc I have a habit of word vomiting after I've already planned the next couple decades road map so it's really filled with preemptive solutions attached to main hahaha I'm not yc material

@ycombinator The dilemma 1st time founders face is seeing a "complex" startup today and failing to look into what it was before. Most of the top 100 startups in YC were actually born with rather simple ideas most would have disregarded.

@ycombinator Building new things is all about principles. Start small, solve a real problem, and build something you want.

@ycombinator Amazon does this at scale over and over again and every time people tend to mock their crude version

@ycombinator @ycombinator can you refine this/elaborate more for hardware/deeptech companies? I feel this advice is more tailored to software...

@ycombinator this is the blueprint! (f) iterate rapidly is where most people fail, they overthink v1 instead of shipping. simple solutions to real problems >>> complex solutions to imaginary ones

@ycombinator Ignore and make a product/service that would be purchased by mainly governments (US & China preferably). Billionaire status in under 5 years.

@ycombinator Six principles are the syllabus. The only metric is the closed cash loop and the founder's velocity against a falsifiable kill-switch. I only fund receipts, not ideals.
