The fanbase is a lot more diverse than young females and JK was definitely not grateful to be sitting. Also, for an article reviewing the concert and performance, the writer talked a whole lot about the fans and the members' visuals...

Realistically, much of the audience is young females. That’s the truth, and it’s not an embarrassing one. I understand how we would like to show the diverse nature of our fandom, for that too is true, but if you looked into the crowd, young females are indeed the overwhelming % +

This is review of the concert, and it is undeniable that a majority of fans who attended were young females. If this had been a more exhaustive article about BTS and the fandom, then I would agree with your critique. But I'm giving that a pass here.
