The application of reason to the creation of human values -- Ingenuity, innovation, creativity, the ability to produce freely based on them, and to keep the rewards of our creation -- this is what we must fight for!
@yaronbrook
Sounds nice.
So why are some many objectivists (not you as far as I know) pissing on the brilliant work of scientists by spreading antivaxx lies?
Burned out doctors are shrugging because objectivists ensured they never ran out of sick/angry patients.
@yaronbrook
Reason forbids all governments - all force against the innocent that governments depend on. All humans want to do 'good', what they believe is right. When their moral code is reversed and they try to do their new 'good', evil is always the result.
@yaronbrook
Since people always try to do good according to their such concept, freedom is the only condition necessary for the real good to triumph as people learn from their mistakes what the real good is. Objectivism will penetrate the world as the source of knowledge of real good.
@yaronbrook
True, that.
Profit means you produced more than you consumed.
You took ideas, and capital, and labor, and your own entrepreneurial spirit, and made it all more than the sum of its parts.
What could possibly be more worthy of moral praise than that?
@yaronbrook
I recently read something an Objectivist wrote and it was very similar to what you've written here. He had a very convincing argument but he stated he think that a culture of reason wasn't possible in his lifetime ,or words to that effect. I am nearing 70 and I sometimes think...

Unfetterd economic progress will lead to ecological disaster. If you can't see that then I wouldn't say you're naive but I have a timeshare apartment in Kabul you might be interested in.
