@yano_gamedev Song of time saves and takes u back to day1 owl statues suspend save. Legit like you just play and try to bite a small piece of the giant cake in three days time to figure out quests and puzzles!

@yano_gamedev oh no are you one of those poor souls who thinks you have to use the owl statues ? (you can totally save! it would be rather drastically insane if you could not lol)

@TinyBookGames I believe there is dependent on what version of the game you're playing, I was playing the 64 version...

@yano_gamedev I think there was a tech limitation involved. The game uses flash memory and maybe it was too small to keep track of every perishable or every location or something.

@yano_gamedev You can, but its annoying. Owl status which are warp points. Don't remember if that's just a suspended save. The other method is the song of time if I remember correctly.

@yano_gamedev Depends on the version. In N64, the only permanent save is a Song of Time reset. The owl statues give a temp save and exit the game. In the 3DS remake, the owl statues now allow for a permanent save.

@yano_gamedev Learns inverted song of time to slow down time by 50% 👌 essentially making the cycle 6 days long in duration. Should help a lot! Even making other parts slow and tedious!🥲 (But u can play song to change it whenever)👍

@yano_gamedev The NSO save states made the game way more approachable. Worst part of that game is fucking one little thing up then needing to wait around a whole nother cycle.

@yano_gamedev Its clunky but once you get the song of soaring its not the worst. Maybe the PC decomp has some options that work better?

@yano_gamedev Coming from Ocarina, MM always felt hostile to me as a kid. The time loop gameplay was not it for me.

@yano_gamedev It's structured to where you're supposed to only do certain things per loop so the only blocker is actually your sense of failure for completionism in a single loop, which is also impossible also put all of your money in the bank before you save/loop
