Hamel's work demystifying evals is very valuable. I've used it for a personal project to safely migrate from GPT-5Mini ($2/Million output tokens) to Amazon Nova Micro ($0.14/Million output tokens). That's an order of magnitude difference if you can iterate quickly on prompts.
