Exactly a year ago today, I started my research in to JK Rowling and her supposed “transphobic remarks”.
-It would take me 2 weeks to struggle to find any & start dodging the deadline.
-4 weeks to realise she never made any transphobic remarks. Not one.
-6 weeks to become…
Right, I’m done.
3 months ago, I was tasked with writing an article detailing “20 Transphobic JK Rowling Quotes We’re Done With”
After 12 weeks of reading her books, tweets, full essay & finding the context of these “quotes”, I’ve not found a single truly transphobic message🧵

I wasn’t actually a TERF at the time, sir. I was a devoted and un-silencable trans ally & advocate. Do your research, mate. I highly recommend it!
And no you won’t get paid but neither did I. Still worth it.

Dismissed it based on evidence and the fact she was a TERF before writing an article she claims she was commissioned to write by an outlet but she won’t name the outlet… also she claims she researched it for 3 months 🤣 ask any freelance writer about a 3 month investigation 🤦♂️
