Honoured to see Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield share #WesternU research by Gordon Osinski (@drcrater) and his international collaborators that shows how quickly life can form after a meteorite impact.
When asteroids slam into Earth they create a warm, wet local environment. These 3 guys dug through 78-million-year-old core samples to show how quickly life moves into the hellscape, to understand Earth history. Great scientific cooperation between Canada and Sweden.
