I’m sure that up until today football fans in Scotland had a degree of respect for McCoist who gave the impression that he was quite a decent sort. His well publicised comments today have blown that myth clean out of the water. He’s just another ignorant bigot.
Serious Questions.
Why does England not have a devolved government?
Why are there no GERS figures for England?
Why is there no Secretary of State for England.
Warning: the more you think about it, the more ludicrous the situation will appear.
After the entire sectarian songbook was trotted out at Dens Park today, isn't it time the other clubs started taking the knee or some other visible statement against sectarianism? The SPFL and the SFA will, yet again, turn a blind eye to this horrendous situation.
The Yoons attempt to batter Nicola Sturgeon into submission may have backfired spectacularly. Twitter is on fire with people posting that they have joined the SNP after today's debacle.
Credit to the FM for coming out on top following a marathon hate fest. What a leader. 🏴🏴🏴
Did Ruth Davidson not realise that Nicola's impressive performance yesterday has resulted in increased SNP membership? My thanks to her for potentially giving a further boost to these figures at FMQs today.
St Mirren sacked manager Alex Ferguson on this day in 1978, with an industrial tribunal ruling he had: "neither by experience nor talent, any managerial ability at all." Four decades on and he would be widely regarded as the greatest gaffer of all time.😟😟😟
Some real miserable souls pretending to be St.Mirren fans on here tonight expecting us to play like Barcelona every week. Just remember who we are and realise that we are still in nosebleed territory at 3rd in the league. If you can’t handle the ups & downs, Saints ain’t for you.
Not a mention on BBC1 news at 10.10 that 100,000 turned out in Holyrood Park for an Independence rally but they spent several minutes covering a victory for England’s women footballers. What are we waiting for? 🏴🏴🏴
Even though he's a Celtic fan from Greenock, he raised his standards and agreed to be photographed with this Buddie on the way to see the mighty St.Mirren. Thank you Martin Compston.

36 years ago today since the last time a team made up entirely of Scotsmen won the Scottish Cup. Something that will most likely never be done again.
A magical day to be a St.Mirren fan.
I'm disappointed about the amount of sanctimonious shit being tweeted condemning John Needham's behaviour. He has suffered enough and has apologised. Now for God's sake consign it to history and move on. Time for Buddies to stick together.
Window display of a shop in Paisley in the build-up to the 1959 Scottish Cup final between St Mirren and Aberdeen. Paisley was captivated. 108,571 fans turned up at the game and it was estimated that 60,000 were there to support St.Mirren.

Paisley was captivated. 108,571 fans turned up at the game and it was estimated that 60,000 were there to support St.Mirren and, of course. my dad and I were there.
Steve Baker is a smug, seriously dangerous, shifty bastard with an almost treasonous agenda. He and his ERG mates are behind all this political carnage and need to be called out once and for all.

I’ve ranted on about this before but this area is for the away supporters at Tynecastle. They don’t sell tickets for the front area. These seats are £5 cheaper for home fans.

I feel that Kyle McAllister has been short of confidence since his return to
@saintmirrenfc
. Hopefully today's performance gives him the boost he needed.
In response to the absurd negativity, I’ve had 70 years of frustration but also some great memories. That’s what happens when you follow St.Mirren. Think of what the fans of Thistle, Dunfermline and Falkirk have been through recently (all close to us in size and fanbase).
When I was in Paisley for the St.Mirren v Hibs match recently I popped into Paolo Nutini’s dad’s chippy and guess who walked in. (That’s him on the left😂😂). Chatted for a few minutes. Lovely guy. A great fish supper too.
SPOILER ALERT: In the new Dr Who Christmas special, the doctor travels back in time and shows a repeat of a Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas special to John Logie Baird, who kills himself.

The St.Mirren team arrives back in Paisley after beating Aberdeen 3-1 in the 1959 Scottish Cup Final. My dad and I were in County Square in the pouring rain. The weather couldn’t dampen the exuberance of the occasion.
That was one of my best ever away days following the mighty
@saintmirrenfc
and I was home by 5.15. Joyful walk along Gorgie Road after the game all the while trying to look miserable with my scarf deeply buried in my pocket.

Tommy Bryceland (out of picture) places a header into the net beyond Aberdeen keeper Fred Martin to open the scoring in the 1959 Scottish Cup Final. Saints won 3-1 in front of 108,591 spectators. Best day of my life as a St.Mirren fan.

Also I haven’t heard her using the expression “I don’t recall that”—-which was the favourite line used by Johnson and Sunak.
1)Don't get the 'hate Jack Ross' stuff. He saved us from being in the third tier for the first time, had us playing attractive attacking football and left for a five fold increase in pay and a chance to further improve his standing. Hate to think where we might be otherwise.
6 years ago this old geezer was at Alicante Airport ready to fly back for the big game at Easter Road. Well worth the trip and one of the best weekends ever.
Cracking picture of Frank McDougall and George Best at Love Street. Saints won 2-1 with George best scoring for Hibs.
I remember it well. Huge crowd turned up on the wettest day imaginable to see the legend (Best, not McDougall).
Been a
@saintmirrenfc
fan for nearly 70 years and have backed this great club with my first ever season ticket. Looking forward to sharing the roller-coaster ride side by side with
@holmsy83
in the Main Stand.
For those who may be interested, I’ve been invited to appear on Sportsound around 6.20 tomorrow to give my thoughts on the Hearts v St.Mirren match. Please please let me have something positive to talk about.
Good SMISA meeting at SMP tonight. Plenty positivity. These doommongers masquerading as Saints fans should give it a rest and get behind the club from top to bottom. There would appear to have been some dangerous nonsense posted on Twitter for a while now and it’s time it stopped
4 years ago today, I was at Alicante Airport preparing to travel home to witness the final act of St.Mirren's great escape act at Easter Road the following day. What a weekend that was.
Just left the St.Mirren supporters group on Facebook. The negativity has gone wild. These people are not supporters. They are a danger to our great club.

Good god there’s some negative nonsense on Twitter tonight. Just remember we are St.Mirren. Ok our recent form has been poor but we are in a comfortable position in Scottish football’s top league. Compare that to some of the desperate situations we’ve been in over the years.

If we do end up being relegated, please
@saintmirrenfc
renew your contract with
@PieSportsScot
so that I have an excuse to renew my season ticket. The steak, black pudding and peppercorn sauce creation I had yesterday was sublime. Otherwise the matchday experience was awful.
Cloudy and 29 degrees. Sweating buckets watching them. The manager’s a real top bloke. Came way out of his way to chat even though he was busy as did Diarmid and many of the players. Our club couldn’t be in better hands.

The first four teams qualified for the Champions League Quarter-Finals :
🇩🇪 Bayern Munich.
🇫🇷 PSG.
🏴 Manchester City.
🇪🇸 Real Madrid.
We will have amazing matches in the Champions League Quarter-Finals..😍
Hogmanay TV was so bad tonight that I reluctantly switched on BBC Scotland and was delighted to find the great John McGinn being interviewed.
Top top bloke.
