this scene actually sums up their rs. the part where she asked him why was he worried & all he could say was sorry, pride was their enemy. but when she started to communicate her feelings & he listened, they were able to feel e/o. +

“you didn’t say anything bc you didn’t ask anything”
you see, hyunwoo was genuinely worried, but pride and fear took up haein and pushed him away. he walked away, defeated, like he was used to being pushed by her.
this was probably how they cope up. haein tries to act tough +
acting like nothing happened, and pushing hyunwoo away bc she feels like she doesn’t need any help.
meanwhile, it was also hyunwoo’s pride to easily give up in reaching out. he instantly walk away as soon as she pushed him away without even looking at how her eyes contradict +
the words she throws.
yet, when she realized it’s him she can only depend to, she was able to finally tell him how she truly feels. and when he listened and realized that she have been only acting tough, they finally get to know what they needed the most. +
they lack communication, they lack rawness and openness with each other. it was both their pride that made them believe that they could cope up in separate ways when in reality, it’s only the two of them who can bring relief and comfort to each other. +
haein needs to speak her mind more, and hyunwoo needs to constantly reach out to her. she shouldn’t push him away and he shouldn’t be walking away.
once they finally know how to communicate properly, that would be a big step to fixing their relationship.

Everything you wrote is on point. Wat I love about QoT is their r/ship is very real, just like many real marriages. The very essence of why many r/ships fail is due to pride and lack of communication. Being married doesn’t mean you can read each other’s minds. 💗
