Only in Manchester could an elephant that refused to take the train end up in a train station! We @McrMuseum are on a mission to become the most imaginative, inclusive and caring museum you might encounter ..

The skeleton of Manchester's most famous elephant is going on display at Piccadilly station from today. Maharajah was part of a travelling circus in the 1800's and walked to Manchester from Scotland after trashing a train carriage.

@ward_esme @McrMuseum I wish for ... The Elephant Walk (The Maharajah Way?) from Edinburgh to Manchester (220 miles, 10 days) - like the Pennine Way or The Dales Way, but an elephant-themed walk! @elephant_parade
