The best darn reporter this side of the Pecos
On Monday I start my new job working for the Associated Press. The best part: I get to stay here to cover immigration and border issues as I have for the last 6 years. For me, the border is not a job. This is home and part of my identity. I’m proud and grateful for this chance.

Glad to see ABC following this. More awareness pushes the White House to act. It’s a shame how many cases like these have gone unresolved in the past.

Seeking clarification on the number 13, CBP’s Rick Pauza said the official count is still 9. Additional bodies have been found as part of the search “but given the location and advanced state of decomposition, ultimately they were not considered part of this particular event.”

Who else will wade through gator swamps to sit in a blind for weeks to get the perfect shot? That takes discipline. I had the pleasure of working with Doug Gardner for three weeks in South Texas filming turkeys and he taught me a lot.

You are a physically formidable species. You have millions of sweat glands, an elite radiator, allowing you to chase down many four-legged mammals should you commit to it. We're built to walk, and run marathons where other species overheat.
