The Heisman is all about hype & momentum. Hooker likely lost the Heisman last week w/ an avg performance on a very big national stage. That’s going to be hard to overcome.
@vo_ldemort
But steal it, they will. And the people responsible for stealing the Heisman from Peyton are still hosting College Gameday for ESPN.
Tennessee is the old school 'blue blood' who the media has rarely shown love.
@vo_ldemort
In 1939, the week after George Cafego went down with an injury, despite shutting out every opponent in the regular season, the AP dropped the team to
#2
, below Texas A&M.
In 1956, UT was dropped to
#2
a week after shutting out
#2
Georgia Tech -- after beating
#18
Ole Miss 27-7.
@vo_ldemort
The more I think about it the more pissed off I get. UT has played the 2nd hardest schedule in college football. Meanwhile the other teams with canidates have played a much weaker schedule! It is easy to have high stats when you play weaker teams! Bo freaking Nix is now listed!?
@vo_ldemort
As nice as it would be, it’s probably a done deal. No more “Impactful” games left besides SC if you want to call it that. Shroud and Corum have the big game end of Nov. Nix will have a title game. Would be great, but the heisman is a “what have you done for me lately” award. Smh
@vo_ldemort
His stats aren’t eye ball popping enough and he doesn’t have anymore big games ahead of him by the time it’s awarded. Drake Maye will have a conference championship game and has much better stats. Same can be said for Bo Nix and his team has the biggest games left.
@vo_ldemort
Peyton was robbed.
Hooker May have lost it 6 days ago.
FWIW I put $100 on him to win it (also bet on Stroud & Bennett) earlier this season. So I hope he does. But I don’t think he will.
@vo_ldemort
It’s probably going to CJ Stroud. Not trolling. They have a softer schedule and that Georgia game is really going to hurt his chances. If Stroud has a decent day against Michigan their hands are tied. Shame. Hooker has played great most of the season against real competition.
