hot take, but the Zelda cycle never really made sense to meโฆ if someone disliked TotK because of the Ultrahand mechanic, why would they start to glaze TotK when the next 3D Zelda comes out?? it's the same thing with SkSw and motion controls, the Zelda fanbase isn't a hivemind
@SynthPotato What you're experiencing right now is the typical Zelda cycle, the latest title gets constantly sh1t on/called a dissapointment and that the previous one was a "true gem/classic that got it". You will hear the tune change once the next mainline game comes out lmao

OoT was definitely defining gameplay-wise. No one is arguing that. It created the 3D Zelda formula, just like ALttP defined 2D Zelda, and BotW redefined open world Zelda. But Nintendo favors these designs as the definitive big 3.

Let's be fully honest here. Nintendo sees these three as the defining designs for the big 3. There's a reason Nintendo still uses their designs for even non TP specific merch.
