I had to ask directions to the elevators. I had to try to figure out which of the elevators goes up to my floor because some only go up to common areas like the spa etc. After trying it & not being able to get on my floor, I had to go back to ask that someone show me to my room

First off, my driver dropped me off right in front of the entrance where a porter was standing. He didn’t say a word to me, didn’t welcome me or take my bag. I walked in and he walked in after me and stood beside the reception desk. Now this is the start of my disappointment…

This means my experience with quality hotel service is right up there. And I’m no stranger to staying at the @DoubleTree in a number of countries. But @DTZagreb hasn’t made a good first impression.

So I just checked into the @DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb and my excitement at my first visit to Croatia has been completely ruined! Now, I travel internationally a lot for work and pleasure, and spent several years as a kid in hotels because of my dad’s work.

When you’re running other people’s race, there is no finish line. Stop trying to keep pace with other people’s lifestyles, career goals, achievements. You’ll break yourself trying to keep up. And you’ll fail. Focus on you. Do you.
