Playing through Ishin has had me craving for an english patch for Kenzan

I finished it and yeah I can say OG Ishin with the English patch is my definitive way of playing it. Some of the balancing might be weird but it looks much better and I prefer the original cast a lot - especially Takechi and Kondo.
I'm glad LAD Ishin exists, but playing through the small tidbits of the original so far just makes me wish it got a remaster/port similar to 3-5. Really like how the OG looks in comparison.

I got the original working with a translation on a newly bought PS3. Feels so fucking good man
I finished the remake and I can say it was mostly fine, even if I'm absolutely sure the original is probably better. Didn't mind the new gameplay additions and some of the recasts aside from Hanpeita and Oryo. The lighting and motion blur is my only real complaint.

Anyone who doubts this should try to fight his final boss in the PS2 version.

One of the reasons I'm glad I played Yakuza in release order is because going from Yakuza 2 to 3 felt like a grand journey. The way they changed the formula with how side content is done, the new style and graphics, the gameplay - everything felt fresh and eager to explore.

Started playing Lost Judgment and I knew what I had to do as soon as the game let me wander around freely.
