A responder claimed you can't treat symptoms if you don't know causes. That's simply wrong. All psych/many medical problems have very complex/ interacting causes we won't ever fully understand. Doesn't mean we can't helpfully treat downstream consequences. We do it every day.
Accepting uncertainty is far truer & safer than jumping to false certainties.
