Coach Johnson gave me an opportunity with the Mavericks and I am still grateful for it. Not a big time high school recruit, playing one year at a juco, and then having a pretty decent three year D1 career.
I was the 14th man on my high school team, barely playing. But I pushed through Juco, N.A.I.A., and an undrafted NBA start. Now, my jersey's retired. You don’t need to be the biggest or fastest—just keep grinding and your time will come. #CoachAvery #NeverGiveUp #KeepGoing
