Another highlight of my #NIHR fellowship was getting to work with @HelenNewmanSLT on her #NIHR fellowship 🤩😍. A unique, if not surreal, experience using novel methods to understand the impact of #ultrasound artefact on upper airway assessment. Amazing work Helen.

Almost 6 years after conversation that sparked the research proposal, yesterday I passed my PhD viva 🥳🥳🥳 Apparently it was stressful! Mostly pre-nerves, examiners helped make it a great experience 🙏 @NIHRresearch @RoyalFreeNHS @BCFTherapyTeam @RCSLTTracheCEN @global_gtc

Really enjoyed presenting my basic science ultrasound work at #soa24, great questions from the judges 🙏 Also great presentations on cutting edge AHP ultrasound @JodiAllenSLT @danni_dietitian @sonophysio and on AI applications @ICUltrasonica lots to think about for ICU SLT!

What a whirlwind 10 days! PhD submitted last week, #SOA24 to present 3 of the workstreams - 2 posters and a slot in @Swallacesl31246 and @emaroids1 's tracheostomy session, and got to catch up f2f with 6 of my supervisors/clinical steering group (it takes a village. )

Peer support during my PhD has been like antenatal group support with a newborn - most challenging roller-coaster ride, nothing beats talking it through with ppl going through the same thing, same time! 🙏 to my #PhD buddies!.
