It seems to me that the portrayal of the Labour win as shallow because of the vote share is misleading. This was a ‘get the tories out’ election. For different people that generally meant voting Labour, Lib Dem, Green or Reform. But in doing so they all knew they’d get a Labour

My mother never advised me how to vote, but I learned, from her, the importance of the vote, that it was a path to hope, always, whether long, short, narrow or winding. She died last year: this is the 1st general election since 1955 without her 'X'. If you can, please vote today.
