We now get autocomplete for theme.json colors, spacing etc. So this will fit perfect with block themes like Ollie etc. You get all the powers of Tailwind CSS together with Theme.json.
We're building a headless element (any html tag) block for WordPress, powered by Tailwind CSS and using theme.json for variables to match any theme. We have a POC and I love it already. Tailwind style is generated on the server so there is minimal CSS and HTML output.

This also opens up better ways for AI to generate any kind of designs for WordPress by just generating HTML + Tailwind classes.

A bit related: This is why WordPress is your best long-term bet for online publishing. Shiny tools like Framer, Figma Sites, Webflow etc can lock you in anyway they want.
