Small fully vaxxed cohort followed across Omicron wave in Chicago. 1 in 5 reported a breakthrough infection. An additional 2 in 5 showed serological evidence of infection, in absence of symptoms. Both groups got big antibody boosts.

How do people respond to trauma? @tmcdade35 and @Mustanski study how LGBTQIA+ youth responded to difficult experiences and find prior active inflammation may make people more vulnerable to mental health issues after experiencing a traumatic event. https://t.co/O8ghA4zw3U

Provocative findings from a cool study led by the amazing @thatmonicakidd! Hopefully just the beginning of a productive collaboration.
@thatmonicakidd & @tmcdade35's new research into dynamic immune markers shows that strong immune responses are associated with higher birth weight in babies. (2/3)

New data on post-booster vaccine effectiveness against Omicron, consistent with our data showing a huge antibody response following boosters.
Our first initial estimates of vaccine effectiveness (VE) against symptomatic disease with the Omicron variant are now out. In short, VE remains high following a Pfizer booster after AZ or Pfizer, but is reduced after two doses. More below π 1/11
