I apologize for my error in assuming that the parade in Portrush was an OO event. It doesn’t even have that level of significance. It’s a band parade. A parade of bands which I therefore presume has participants from all parts of the community and has no connection to Loyalism.

For those unfamiliar with golf having the #Open at Portrush is the equivalent of having Wimbledon or the World Cup in Northern Ireland. And golf is a sport blind to differences. Clubs all across Ireland play each against each other and welcome golfers from whereever they come.

Here’s the bottom line. The OO parents are saying:.“I don’t want my children playing with the likes of them!”.All the stuff about the GAA is a smokescreen for pure unadulterated bigotry.

Meanwhile the same organization has stopped THEIR OWN kids playing cricket so they don’t mix with the other “side”.
