Wiltshire Landscape - Saving Private Ryan. The very convincing cornfields of ‘Iowa’, where tragic news is delivered to the Ryan farmhouse, were actually in Wiltshire. The farmhouse was built (and subsequently removed) on Gunsite Road, south of the village of West Kennett.
