ThousandEyes observed packet loss within AWS’ network during the incident and Amazon has confirmed that network connectivity issues were responsible for the disruption. More on the blog as we have it: #AWSdown #AWSoutage

Typically, many incidents with wide impact on the network are control plane related, where the ability of the network to route traffic is impaired. However, in today’s and last week’s AWS outages, that doesn’t appear to be the case. More here: #AWSOutage
