The SF6 DLC characters having hit confirmable target combos into OD specials is way more fun to look at than the tired old medium xx drc.

Year 3 of SF6 and many solid players still don’t use their drive gauge correctly especially against zoners. It’s guard meter in a game w/o chip. You don’t need to make offence happen with it all the time. If guile/jp/dhalsim throw an ex attack and you block it, you’re winning.

Another tool Ken has better that Ryu doesn’t is insane burnout defence. This situation is corner side switch easy to survive for Ken, but for Ryu the supers don’t matter it’s GG.

A big reason mid level players stagnate is a lack of original thinking. Here is your government-mandated approved list of ways to win: footsies, fundamentals, patience, respect…. Do you even know what these things are or are you just afraid to play? Think for yourself.

Decided not to enter world warriors. Last year I put up a cool 3rd points finish in NA East. I’ve learned time is not the problem. There are enough hours for work + SF. It’s the mental preoccupation that takes energy. How your mind drifts. Sometimes you need all your focus.

As powerful as Ryu is that 1f difference in his 2mk and 2hk compared with Ken means he doesn’t hit the punishes that Ken would. Blaz needed to adjust his reaction to press 5lk for the finisher but not so easy to change mental stack in clutch situations!.
