My pursuit of Black Friday bargains has alas proved fruitless. Not a Murano lemon squeezer or Louis XIV fainting couch in sight. Instead, I was forced to peruse ‘appliances’.

This was an odd request sign for a new home. The new home is now named Blaithin the Celtic word for little flower I’m told but the catch was blaithin had to be translated into Inuit so the Inuit translation is the symbol’s running across the whale
