How do we bridge the gap so Indigenous, Afrodescendant, and local communities can access climate finance directly? Mechanisms are emerging, pathways are movingâand weâre working to connect actors, build trust, and strengthen territorial and community-led funds.

Yesterday at #COP30, we stood with our partners @conaquilombos and Malungu, alongside INCRA, as they signed a protocol of intentions to advance the titling of the Trombetas (PA) and Tambor (AM) quilombos â with Tambor among the largest now moving towards recognition.

âWork with the people who know how" To protect forests and biodiversity. To address the climate crisis. To care for the Earth. Nearly 40% of the worldâs key biodiversity areas lie in Indigenous territories. No coincidence, but proof of what secure tenure makes possible.
Indigenous Peoples steward over half the worldâs land but their rights are rarely recognised. @TenureFacility is changing that by securing land rights and funding to protect 34M hectares across 20 countries (an area the size of Germany!). Land rights = lasting climate action.
