@editingemily when leaving my job last month one of my marketing team members told me something that I swear I will hold onto to forever. she told me I was such a great person to work with because I "didn't talk down to people" in marketing. the bar is so low, folks!

If technical people refuse to work in marketing, technical people can’t complain (or shame others) when people in marketing sometimes get it wrong.

@taylor_atx It’s in the basement. I am so tired of people disrespecting others and laughing at people for not knowing something. We all don’t know more than we do.

@editingemily tired of that, but also just the lack of willingness to sit down and write or talk out an explanation that doesn't require 1000 pieces of background info to understand.

@taylor_atx @editingemily Coming from marketing to DevRel, it’s been a wild shift to see the way some developers treat marketers or blame them for problems 🙈 I try to be the bridge because we all have a common goal and different skills to get there!

@xoMiaMoore @editingemily I feel like I've been doing a lot of bridge work the last few years. but honestly, I want to be put out of that job. I wish it was x <--> z, not x <--> y <--> z where I am y.

@taylor_atx @editingemily I have the same thing working with our Technical Pubs/Docs team. Give them an hour of your time to help understand what it is we're looking at and talking about and get better docs every day from then on! It's not rocket science, it's team work
