On this day, 71 years ago, Firefighter William Cadier died in the line of duty. FF Cadier was assigned to Engine 11, and at 64 years old, he was the oldest Syracuse firefighter. He died of a heart attack while working at a fire scene. #syracusefire

Today, we remember Firefighter Michael Rogers of Chemical Co. No. 1, who died 138 years ago while serving the Syracuse Fire Department. He was tragically injured when a horse collar became unhooked, and he was pulled from his seat. #SyracuseFire

At 2:39 PM today, crews responded to a fire at 1011 Milton Ave. Firefighters arrived in 3 mins, quickly bringing the blaze under control. Thankfully, no injuries reported! 6 residents displaced, assisted by the Red Cross. Cause: electrical malfunction.
