@AkiretaHK Then in schools I worked in I saw girls toilets taken away, turned into mixed sex toilets. Nobody consulted them. And I learned about girls in schools I worked in going home at lunchtime because they didn’t want to go to the toilet with boys. /10

No I've never been to the family court. I haven't had kids because I think it's a narcissistic thing to do. Yup my crew is completely onboard with what I do. It's pretty obvious what you're doing trying to use women as a shield for your transphobic bullshit. Why do you do it?

@AkiretaHK Why do I do what I do, Sean? That’s a good question. I suppose, fundamentally, it’s because I don’t like bullies. You see, I think people should be able to live any way they want. /1

@AkiretaHK I think life is difficult and anything which makes it bearable for people is fine by me. You want to wear something different to everyone else? Be in a relationship with someone of the same sex? With more than one person? Fine. /2

@AkiretaHK You want to be tattooed from head to foot? Walk around speaking a different language? Go to church five days a week? Make short films about why God doesn’t exist? Spend your weekends making model aeroplanes with like-minded people? Why would I care? /3

@AkiretaHK That’s what first led me to support all this LGBT stuff. I helped set it all up in my school. Thought I was doing a good thing for some vulnerable students. Maybe I was, I don’t know? And then as time went on I saw things changing. /4

@AkiretaHK I saw people saying things that were a bit odd. Fair enough. But then they said only bigoted and evil would disagree. They started saying that people shouldn’t be allowed to speak, shouldn’t be employed, weren’t welcome in a civilised society, if they expressed disagreement. /5

@AkiretaHK I couldn’t really get on board wi try that, but I didn’t think that much of it. Then I saw people being “cancelled” and victimised. By bullies. I heard lesbians being told they were transphobic if they didn’t want to be in relationships with males. /6

@AkiretaHK I saw the bullying, the people who found nobody would talk to them anymore if they didn’t toe the line. I saw people insisting that any man who said he was a woman, however he dressed or behaved, even if he didn’t have surgery, was a woman in every sense. /7

@AkiretaHK And women I knew said they didn’t agree either, but said they were scared to say anything. The political party I used to campaign for started to say men should be in women’s prisons. And anyone who disagreed was shouted down and ostracised. Careers were ended. /8

@AkiretaHK My union went the same way. One senior member who is a woman told me she had worked for women’s rights all her life, trying to help victims of domestic abuse. And now she was scared to speak in meetings because people with blue hair and weird ideas were holding court. /9

@AkiretaHK My wife is a teacher and she told me about girls that asked out of class to go to the toilet because it was the only way they could go and hope to avoid the boys. And I didn’t think that was right. Still don’t. /11

@AkiretaHK And I talked to the people who designed such toilets, and they didn’t care. Because they were listening to some activists who had installed themselves in every committee and were being listened to to the exclusion of everyone else. /12
