no hate to supabase btw, I love what they do. The trade-off for speed (since db and server don’t live in one instance) is just not worth it for us.

just x100’d the speed of @karskwt by switching from @supabase to @better_auth + pg on the @coolifyio instance. migration took a few hours but the results are sooo worth it! 🔥 . Only service we’re not hosting ourself is mail (using @resend), everything else is self-hosted :D

The more I use @prisma the more I think they could be THE backend solution of modern webdev. They could be the laravel/django to ANY framework!. long thread of me yapping about prisma and what I think they should work on if I had a say, skip if not interested :d.

for the past few days I’ve been debating migrating prod app to vercel vs @Cloudflare . Looks like my decision was made for me! All domains have been transferred to cloudflare, I also cancelled my @v0 subscription. My wallet is thanking me already :)

why don’t ORMs provide auth OOTB? 🤔.imagine if you could do:. npx @prisma auth init JWT —link “users.user_id”.or .npx @prisma auth add google <api_key> . keep auth tables in different schema, and have db-level auth just like @pocketbase 🙂‍↕️.
