All set up and ready to welcome over 190 delegates to Exeter. Looking forward to three days of talks and discussions on the genetics of diabetes (and hyperinsulinism!). The sun has even made an appearance for us. #SGGDExeter2024

7 in 10 women will experience sickness during pregnancy, like the Princess of Wales @KensingtonRoyal did. Some will be so ill they're hospitalised. Scientists @IMS_MRL have worked out why – and the discovery could help develop future treatments 👇 @HGSupportUK

Thrilled to see this out in @Nature ! Using human genetics approaches to identify genes influencing ovarian ageing. Really exciting to see that some of these genes can be manipulated in mice to extend reproductive life and improve fertility.

Out now, our latest and largest study of the genetic architecture of BMI in infancy and early childhood in 29K MoBa trios. We find 46 loci, imprinting effects and lots of age-dependent effects. Great collab betw. Bergen, FHI/Oslo, Bo Jacobsson/Gothenburg https://t.co/LQuws9MyYo
