Part 2: BJP's the biggest party in districts that've a Muslim share >20% now, but is behind at higher thresholds. TMC is another party that has made big gains, while Congress has suffered big losses. Politics has become more bipolar in such districts, too. With @Roshanjnu 1/2
There is no religious breakup of AC pop. in India. @Roshanjnu & I use the next best thing to see if politics is changing in Muslim dominated ACs (in light of AIMIM beating RJD by count of Muslim MLAs in Bihar). This 1st part describes the ACs one could call Muslim dominated 1/2

It is to be expected that capital would welcome the new Labour Codes and Unions would oppose it. An objective assessment requires a holistic look at Indian labour markets. Which is what we have tried to do today. With @naalmot

There is no conspiracy behind NDA’s Bihar landslide. Its political economy > collapse of the fence sitters… > crushed RJD+ seat share despite it polling more vote share than some of its 1990 victories > and that’s where NDA’s shrewd class-caste strategy worked cc @naalmot

Bihar has recorded its highest ever turnout in these elections. But read this one by @naalmot to understand why it’s more statistical than political
hindustantimes.com
The 2025 Bihar elections saw a record turnout, but this is largely due to a reduction in registered voters, not increased civic engagement.
