it just sucks so much that drivers have gotten so much worse in the past 3-4 years and we've decided to kinda just shrug and not do anything that could annoy drivers
there should be a big campaign right now to catch anyone texting and driving so we can suspend their licenses

we really just need separate traffic enforcement agencies, cops do not give a shit, and you don't need a gun to give someone a ticket

this isn't even an anti car thing! insurance rates are rising due to less safe roads, going after the minority of careless drivers helps all of the safe drivers too

I actually think MD plates are maligned. most dangerous drivers in MD all have VA plates because until like a week ago you could get them without insurance or inspection. worst plate by far are the VA gadsen plates

I'm for the idea in the abstract but it seems impractical(especially for older cars), and people *really* hate the idea. speed cameras are a lot easier and have similar effects

even skipping a song while driving feels sketchy, and you need both hands for, y'know, using the car most of the time

It is legally 100x easier to put someone in prison than to ban them from driving for extended periods & I would very much like this to be the other way round
