Several countries are contemplating launching stablecoins of some sort, some w/ multiple irons in the fire.
Hard to predict how domestic competition plays out between eg USDC / PYUSD / CBDC but a world with globally open, programmable digital money is a big step forward.

More pressure on interoperability, shared ledgers will make this beautiful. Would hate to see a world where stables are just the crypto-native version of finding a high APY savings acct
