@PalmerLuckey This reminds me of an early Merlin test failure that got leaked to the press by one of our government observers. All the doom and gloom came out in the press,. The Merlin engine is now widely recognized as the most reliable booster engine ever flown.

This actually is the right approach, to offer prizes and incentives for building and flying hardware. Otherwise the "gold" in golden dome will just result in handouts to traditional defense and space contractors with little incentive to actually deliver results.

We heard during the New Glenn broadcast that BO has delivered 30 BE-4 engines to ULA. Vulcan's backlog (especially for National Security) has been waiting for a long time... What's the hold up here? Why is ULA on pace for the same or less launches this year than last year?
