First test run on the new 5 way drafter setup (homemade). Drafting into lambing paddocks. Ignore the wire, duct tape & cables; it’s just how us farmers roll.😁

The urge to walk through this after he levels it off is becoming overpowering😊

Time to level off and cap. The excavator driver tells me he dug up some Oats that were 7 years old, no plastic, only had 100mm (4inch) crust around the pit side.

What if we’ve been wrong about what saved the most lives in human history? Most people think it was medicine. It wasn’t. The real hero was something far more humble - and it still shapes our future today. Here is story of food, science, and hope 🧵👇1/

Just wacked a back-lining nozzle on the auto drench gun. Works alright, just need another gun now.

I have been saving this paddock for weaning the stud lambs into. Have to move one of the mobs through this paddock for weaning tomorrow. Could be a slow walk.

Working lambs today. Backline, vaccination, drench. Having the same problem as Lawrence.
Wasn’t the best day to be doing it but weighed the second mob of 400 ewe lambs into weight classes then drenched them with Flexolt. Flying solo today so thank goodness for the autodrafter. Had one mishap hence photo 2, if you know you know… 🤦♂️

We are not running the pig trap at the moment. The sheep like to pack in as tight as I have them when travelling🙄 There's a tree near by for shade, but I think they like the sense of protection. Like iron age people living in s Hill Fort I guess.

Harvest has started in Manangatang. Despite the best advice, the corn head was chosen over the draper. @Warwick_Long @JohnDeereAUNZ
