Yesterday my daughter graduated in Adult Nursing. She has already started her career in the Transplant ward where her gran recieved 3 transplants and where I donated my kidney. #ScottishLiverTransplantUnit

20yrs today @ImperialTxGroup performed our 1st tx. We have since transplanted >3500 organs due to the generosity of donors, transforming the lives of recipients. Some of our wonderful expert team r still here - continuing to deliver excellence in care for all our patients. 🙌

Today ShareYour Wishes turns 8 years old!! Sally Bee became our first Ambassador in 2019. Sally has survived six heart attacks and lives with two rare conditions: Fibromuscular Dysplasia (FMD), and SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection).

Today we mark what should have been Sophie’s 11th birthday. Sophie died aged 3, whilst waiting for a heart transplant. Abbie, who is part of our team, & Karl, made the decision to offer Sophie’s organs for donation, and Sophie went on to give her kidneys to two people.

1/ Six years ago today to now. My transplant had been a success but PCP double pneumonia had threatened to end my second chance before it had even begun. A doctor at the time said, “I knew you would be successful, Mr Webb, the first time I met you. You are a determined man...”
